The modern technologies have failed, Tamil building fell into the eye of the UNESCO
Trichy, Sri Rangam Temple has been declared as the Asia-Pacific Metric Award for UNESCO.
The award was announced on the basis of renewal and secured traditional.
UNESCO, the education, science and cultural organization of the United Nations, has been conducting competitions for the traditional award each year to preserve cultural heritage, restore traditional buildings, defend and maintain it.
This year's awards were announced today.
This competition is conducted in various parts of the world.
This year's traditional award competition, 43 traditional buildings from 6 countries, Australia, China, India, Iran, New Zealand and Singapore, were nominated for the Asian-Pacific region.
It included a 31 heritage section and 12 buildings with new designs.
Of these 16 buildings have been awarded this year's Heritage Awards. The Blue House Cluster Building in Hong Kong, China, won the Asian-Pacific region's Excellence Award.
Accordingly, the awards announced for this year by UNESCO:

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Sri Rangam, India.
Christ Church, Mumbai, India.
Royal Bombay Opera House, Mumbai, India.
