The ‘56th ‘guru puja’ of the late freedom fighter was observed in Pasumpon, near Ramanathapuram

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and their cabinet colleagues paid homage to freedom fighter Muthuramalinga Thevar on the occasion of his 111th birth anniversary and 56th ‘guru puja’ here on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Collector K Veera Raghava Rao, Superintendent of Police Omprakash Meena and host of party leaders paid homage by placing a wreath at the memorial.

On his arrival from Madurai, the Chief Minister was accorded a rousing reception by local Minister M Manikandan and District secretary M A Muniasamy.
